"Zaman Zehir" marks a new milestone for the group, being their first album that was produced and recorded in their own studio. The record draws inspiration from various genres, including grunge, Britpop, and art rock. From Krishnamurti’s Freedom from the Known to Jung’s The Red Book, the album revolves around disfigured human interaction, the pressure of time, and the very turbulent unity of existence. The album opens with the mesmerizing arpeggios of “Cimri”’, escalates tension with blasting rhythms and distorted aggressive guitars of “Gezegen” and weaves the second half with the harmonically soothing “Işığın Güncesi” and its remedying lyrics. With each unexpected turn, Voyvo puts the listener on a sonically stimulating, hypnotic, and existential path.
